Rajesh Dudeja, aged 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2020. He was born on December 1, 1964 in New Delhi India to Shri Vas Dev Dudeja and Shiela Rani Dudeja. Rajesh grew up and did his schooling in New Delhi India.

Rajesh graduated from Bal Bharti Public School, Class of 1982, and went on to do B. Tech in Textile Technology from Textile Institute of Technology, Bhiwani, in 1986 and PGDIM from Delhi School of Economics in 1987. Except for the four years that he was at Bhiwani for graduation, Rajesh lived throughout his life in New Delhi.

Always a voracious reader, Rajesh enjoyed encyclopedias to newspapers, pamphlets to road signs. He had a deep love for music, photography, nature and the outdoors.

He enjoyed varied genres of music with Country and Ghazals being among his favorite genres. He was passionate about capturing moments and most often was the one behind the camera on trips and events.

An out of the box thinker, Rajesh was known for his originality, sociability, and humor. He loved to laugh and even more so to make others laugh. Rajesh had a quick mind with a quick wit and was gifted in making easy, lively, and often hilarious conversation.

Despite his health challenges, Rajesh never complained. He chose to be joyful and truly appreciated little things, from earthy aroma after a shower of rain to a hot cup of tea on a cold winter morning.

In every way, Rajesh was larger than life.

Pure Hearted
Rajesh valued people more than anything. He had a great respect for his parents and was exceptionally proud of son Kinshuk. He lived a full life that flourished through his many friendships. He accepted all views on life and was a person of many talents and interests

Fiercely Independent
Rajesh lived the motto of “I will do things on my terms”.

Resilient
Somewhere deep within him sprang optimism despite odds. He had a knack for describing the most daunting and frustrating situations with a twist of hopefulness.

Rajesh was epic and forever will be missed.

Rajesh was a shining example of resilience and perseverance and had many professional accomplishments. Like a phoenix he burned bright, but he could also burn himself out. When he did, he would rise again with a new passion

He had extensive experience in Business Management, IT Consultancy, HR Management, Strategic Thinking & planning, Coaching & Mentoring, and had perfected the art of blending deep analytical insight with practical management experience. Combining the skills of a thinker, analyst, communicator, project manager and innovator, he was responsible for introducing new thinking, new products and services, new methods, and new initiatives.

Rajesh had a unique character with many dimensions: articulate, thoughtful, problem solver and creative. He often challenged conventional wisdom, and was able to adapt to any industry segment, to effectively provided services to clients in varied industry segments, small and medium size firms.

With a very strong inclination towards socially constructive activities, he was involved with socially responsible activities and NGOs over the last 25 years. He developed a very special interest in sustainable fashion and pioneered the production of “ecofriendly handmade denim” on handlooms in India, by working very closely with the community of “hand-weavers” in and around Bijnore, U. P.

He also has to his credit the visualization and creation of a virtual community of alumni of his alma mater, long before the facebook era, which connected thousands of professionals, spread across the globe. He was the core architect of a proprietary web-based paper-less system for collaborative virtual working, known as the Universal Virtual Office at the turn of the millennium.

He was very closely attached with “Jaago Grahak Jaago” – the consumer awareness campaign and was the key person in developing the National Consumer Helpline.  He was on the board of VOICE – Voluntary Organization in the Interest of Consumer Education, one of the country’s oldest consumer interest NGO.

An adventurous individual with a brilliant mind, he was always ready to strike up a conversation and befriend a stranger. He had a knack of finding out what people were passionate about and providing insight into it. He believed in the very best in people and had a magical gift for helping others manifest the ideals

Rajesh was so many things to so many people; people we may never even know about were impacted greatly by this amazing man.
