Sandeep Tewari | Having you as my boss at the start of my career has been a key highlights of my career. Your ability to mentor and push me to do better was inspiring. I will always be grateful for the time, advice and the invigorating discussions over the shared meals including the chole bahture, kachori aloo and onion kulcha.
Rest in peace. |
Sudhir Gomasta | Sir, was my mentor when I was just starting out in my career. He provided me with great advice and support and did an incredible job of bringing out my strengths and helped me bestow confidence in myself. and in my abilities. I donβt have the words to thank him enough for his time, efforts and support. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have him as a mentor, but devastated by the fact that I can't just pick up the phone to call him for chitchat, support or guidance. Thank you Sir, for your guidance, support and friendship |
Kamal Misra | Writing obituaries is always painful and sad , and when it is for someone with whom you have been very close , it is traumatic. Rajesh had grown very close to me in the past many years since I came to Delhi. My first interaction with him was when he started 'TITOBA on the Net ' where he set about linking up all the Alumni .It was a huge task which he took up willingly and happily. It was the precursor to the 'Alumni Red Book ' which was the culmination of his great effort in bringing together the entire TIT family..His basic credentials , initially , were that he was my Teacher's son and an Alumni brother , and that became the foundation for a friendship that was far deeper and intense.
His passion for Denims ,in general , and handloom denims , in particular was infectious and exhilarating . Being proficient in IT activities he had set up the Denim Club portal and continuously worked towards developing unique products that were eco-friendly and extremely low on carbon footprint . His green products caught the fancy of the overseas fashion world , a fact probably unknown to many , and his name and brand were recognised world-wide . He started the Denim-Exhibition and Seminar , which was very well received and drew accolades from the denim fraternity.
He constantly strived to add more and more value to his creations -- and succeeded every time. His perseverance bordered on stubbornness .Unfortunately , what brought him success in his ventures , was his undoing on the health front. His constant refusal to pay more heed to his health led to the point of no return , and he left us on the 3rd of May.
I will sorely miss the long discussions and brain-storming sessions that we used to have in his office/workshop . The ideas kept flowing from him , but he was never vain about his achievements .
That point in Naraina , which often served as our rendezvous, will always beckon me with his smiling face , a lighted cigarette held between his fingers , every day ,when I pass it on the way to my office. He will be there , but not all will see him . His presence will be felt only with the heart.
Live on in the world hereafter my friend , till we eventually meet again .
Adieu ! |
